Some Words the FTC Would Like Me to Have With You

This is the second of two blogs I keep, and I use affiliate links on both. So far, it’s only been to Amazon, but I will update this if that changes. I’ll also link to this page anytime there’s one or more affiliate links in a post.

If you want some seriously nitty-gritty details on what Amazon affiliate (“associate” in their terms) means, I wrote a post about that over at my primary blog, MetaCookbook. Otherwise, the basic gist is that every post I have with such links will bring you back here. The clearest & important info is the next paragraph.

Note: All Amazon links are affiliate links. This means I get a tiny percentage if you buy the linked items or other things via Amazon after clicking. Your purchase price won’t change. And if you do smile.amazon for charity, they stack. Still without changing your purchase price. Thanks!

However, Amazon requires me to have this formal language posted somewhere on my blog, and so it might as well be fairly easily accessible (linked from any page having associate links):

Natasha is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

As I launch this blog, I expect you’ll see a link to this note on a number of posts. I will never try to sneak something by you. Because, frankly, that’s disgusting. I’d feel slimy.

Thanks so much for reading!
